Hands-on opportunity to learn all aspects of commercial horticultural business working alongside owner and experienced managers.

Responsibilities

• Hand harvesting in the field
• Overseeing harvest operations
• Working with owner on implementing and improving spreadsheet based planting programs
• Become a leading hand for harvesting teams of 14+ people
• Work alongside dispatch supervisor in forklift operation, load planning and data entry
• Tractor and machinery operation
• Crop planning and forecasting with management
• Work alongside agronomist on crop science

Requirements

• Aspire to a future leadership or management role
• Thrive in a rural environment or desire to live in rural environment
• Want to build long-term primary industry based career
• Reliable, adaptable and willing to learn
• Enjoy practical, hands-on work
• Able to lift up to 20kg
• Comfortable working in outdoor environments and physically active roles
• Leadership potential or desire to lead teams in the future
