A dual-role position homeschooling a Year 5 student and supporting boutique accommodation operations at a high country station.

Responsibilities

• Homeschooling Year 5 student in English, Maths, and core subjects using Te Kura website
• Providing additional teaching for online literacy and maths classes
• Encouraging art/painting and outdoor sports activities
• Logging school work on Te Kura website and creating teaching schedules
• Driving student to extracurricular activities (gymnastics, ice hockey, horse riding)
• Housekeeping and cleaning for two boutique accommodation huts
• Assisting with bookings on Booking.com, Airbnb, and website
• Helping maintain main house tidiness

Requirements

• Full driving license and confidence driving on left-hand side
• Experience as teacher or minimum two years as teaching assistant
• English as first language
• High level of drive and self-directed ability
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage different tasks simultaneously
• Ability to motivate a student
• Valid Working Holiday Visa
• New Zealand bank account and IRD number
