Description

A seasonal role managing skate hire, ice rink, and snow tube park in an alpine tourist town during New Zealand winter season.

Responsibilities

• Handing out ice skates and helmets and assisting customers with equipment fitting
• Providing customer service, ticketing, and selling rink-associated retail
• Reviewing, maintaining, and sharpening ice skates using manual and automated machines
• Teaching ice skating to large school groups and providing private lessons
• Interacting with customers and managing mats on slope for safety at Tube Park
• Providing general support to other departments

Requirements

• Current work visa required
• Commitment to full winter season (April until mid-September)
• Positively professional attitude towards customers and team members
• Self-motivated, responsible, and action-oriented
• Collaborative team player
• Experience in ice skating extremely desirable
