Responsibilities

• Working on steep hillside terrain
• Handling wire rope and chokers (approx. 15 kg)
• Rigging logs ready to be lifted by the skyline system
• Standing/working on feet for around 8 hours
• Navigating rough ground, large rocks, and felled timber

Requirements

• Good physical fitness and stamina — this is demanding work
• Comfortable working on steep, uneven ground in all weather conditions
• A safe and careful attitude on site
• Ability to take direction and work well as part of a small team
• Experience in logging, forestry, or similar outdoor labouring is an advantage but not essential
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• A current First Aid certificate is a bonus
• Full NZ work rights
