Description

Dairy farm assistant role on a family farm near Christchurch handling calving, milking, stock work, and tractor operations.

Responsibilities

• Calving and calf rearing
• Milking and milk quality
• General stock work and animal health
• Fencing and general farm maintenance
• Irrigation shifts
• Feeding out and pasture work
• Machinery and tractor work including mowing, baling, wrapping, feed management

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 years experience
• Must be able to commit from August through until January
• Some dairy farming or stock experience preferred
• Good attitude and willingness to learn
• Physically fit and reliable
• Tractor experience advantageous but not essential
• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
