Description

Casual caregivers, nurses and healthcare assistants provide compassionate daily-living support and safe mobility assistance on flexible shifts across Nelson and Tasman.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting and mealtimes
• Assist with mobility, transfers and safe hoist operation
• Provide companionship, activities and emotional support
• Dispose of waste in designated bins
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental health

Requirements

• Previous caregiver, healthcare assistant or nursing experience
• Empathy, patience and strong communication skills
• Caring and compassionate nature
• Physical fitness for manual handling
• Reliability and a positive attitude
• Already located in the Nelson/Tasman region
