Description

Support Christchurch civil construction projects with earthworks, drainage, site preparation, materials handling and general labouring across infrastructure sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with earthworks, trenching and backfilling
• Support drainage, pipe laying and underground services
• Prepare pavements and assist with compaction and concreting
• Operate hand tools, power tools and small plant
• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Set up sites, barriers, fencing and signage
• Maintain sites and follow safety procedures

Requirements

• Full Class 1 New Zealand driver licence
• Wheels, Tracks and Rollers endorsements
• Previous civil construction or labouring experience
• Reliable transport to work sites
• Physical fitness for outdoor work
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
