Description

Lead a seasonal kiwifruit flower-picking team across Te Puke and Tauranga orchards, maintaining quality, safety, accurate records and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage, motivate and support the flower-picking team
• Train new staff in good flower-picking techniques
• Ensure quality standards, thorough block coverage and correct rotations
• Address health and safety concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate timesheets and liaise with the office and mill
• Transport flowers to the mill when required

Requirements

• Kiwifruit or horticulture experience preferred but not essential
• Strong time-management and organisational skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and motivate a diverse team
• Comfort using MS Office and mobile applications
• Valid work permit or visa, New Zealand bank account and IRD number
• Team-first, positive and detail-oriented attitude

Benefits

• $28.33 per hour plus 8% holiday pay
• Training provided in mid or late October
• Seasonal outdoor leadership role for approximately four weeks
• Up to six working days per week
