Description

Seasonal orchard work manually thinning kiwifruit buds and fruit outdoors in Gisborne to improve crop quality, with pruning and other horticultural tasks.

Responsibilities

• Remove excess or misshapen flower buds and fruit by hand
• Use secateurs or loppers for pruning as needed
• Work under vines with arms raised above the head
• Follow instructions from the orchard manager or supervisor

Requirements

• No experience required; on-the-job training is provided
• Good physical fitness and a strong work ethic
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather
• Reliable, quick to learn, and attentive to detail
• Willingness to undergo random drug and alcohol testing
