Description

Seasonal field leadership role supervising kiwifruit flower pickers, maintaining quality across orchards and coordinating people, records, transport and safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality standards across the picking team
• Manage, motivate and support flower pickers
• Train new staff in flower-picking techniques
• Address health and safety concerns promptly
• Ensure blocks and bays are picked thoroughly
• Maintain accurate timesheets and liaise with the office and mill
• Transport flowers to the mill when required

Requirements

• Experience in kiwifruit or horticulture preferred
• Strong time-management and organisational skills
• Ability to communicate with and motivate a diverse team
• Comfort with MS Office and mobile apps
• Attention to detail and positive can-do attitude
• Valid work permit or visa, NZ bank account and IRD number

Benefits

• NZD 28.33 per hour plus 8% holiday pay
• Training provided in mid or late October
• Seasonal role of approximately three to four weeks
• Maximum six days per week
