Description

Lead and support kiwifruit flower-picking teams across Te Puke and Tauranga, ensuring quality, thorough orchard coverage, safety and accurate daily coordination.

Responsibilities

• Ensure flower-picking quality standards
• Manage, motivate and support flower pickers
• Train new staff in flower-picking techniques
• Address health and safety concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate timesheets
• Liaise with the office and mill
• Transport flowers to the mill when required

Requirements

• Kiwifruit or horticulture experience preferred but not essential
• Strong time management and organisation
• Communication skills to motivate a diverse team
• Comfort with MS Office and mobile apps
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude
• Valid work permit or visa, New Zealand bank account and IRD number

Benefits

• NZD 28.33 per hour plus 8% holiday pay
• Training provided in mid or late October
• Seasonal role of approximately four weeks
