Description

Manage daily operations across a luxury lodge’s guest-facing departments, leading shifts and staff while delivering safe, seamless and personalised hospitality experiences.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily tasks across lodge departments
• Oversee restaurant, bar, lounge and reception operations
• Handle guest needs and complaints professionally
• Lead briefings, handovers and shift assignments
• Coach and train guest-facing staff
• Monitor service flow, stock, cash and site security
• Lead emergency response and uphold health and safety
• Maintain presentation, records and equipment standards

Requirements

• At least one year of supervisory or management experience
• At least three years of hospitality experience
• Fine-dining or luxury-hotel experience preferred
• Strong communication and team-coaching skills
• Ability to work under New Zealand alcohol-licensing requirements
• Knowledge of Kaikoura and surrounding districts
• Health and safety awareness
