Description

Farm assistant role for Scottfresh, producing supermarket ready vegetables and salad crops in North Canterbury.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside and become a leading hand for harvesting teams of 14+ people
• Work with dispatch supervisor on forklift operation, load planning and data entry
• Operate tractors and machinery
• Crop planning and forecasting with management
• Work alongside agronomist on crop science
• Staff coordination and leadership
• Health & Safety and compliance
• Hands on involvement in sales and marketing

Requirements

• Aspire to a future leadership or management role
• Reliable, adaptable and willing to learn
• Leadership potential and ability to communicate with diverse groups
• Previous horticultural or primary industry experience useful but not essential
