Description

We’re currently recruiting caregivers, nurses, and other related healthcare professionals for casual shifts in the Nelson / Tasman region.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, toileting, meal-times etc)
• Assist with mobility, transfers and safely operating hoists
• Providing meaningful companionship, engaging in activities, and offering emotional support
• Dispose of waste in designated bins
• Observing and accurately reporting any changes in physical or mental health to the nursing team

Requirements

• Previous experience as caregiver, healthcare assistant or nurse is a must
• A high degree of empathy, patience, and outstanding communication skills
• A caring and compassionate nature
• Physical fit with to handle manual handling
• Reliable and a positive attitude
