Our client looking for a reliable and hardworking Calving Assistant to join their team on a dairy farm near Ashburton for the upcoming calving season.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with calving and monitoring cows.
• Caring for newborn calves, including feeding and general health checks.
• Identifying and reporting any animal health concerns.
• Maintaining high standards of animal welfare and hygiene.
• General farm duties as required.

Requirements

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Reliability and willingness to work flexible hours during the busy calving period.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous dairy or calving experience is an advantage but not essential—training can be provided for the right person.
• A genuine interest in animal care and farming.
