Description

Host visitors on a real-life rural experience at Walter Peak, combining tourism and agriculture in a 150ha farm setting.

Responsibilities

• Host visitors on popular farm tour products
• Demonstrate farm practices such as sheep shearing and dog handling to groups of guests
• Help the rural team to ensure immaculate presentation of the grounds/farm
• Ensure animals stay at optimum health
• Assist with planting native trees and conservation education

Requirements

• At least 1 year in a similar tourism role OR 1 year experience within the farming industry
• Experience shearing sheep and dog handling preferred
• Confidence in speaking in front of up to 200 people
• Driver's licence
• Team player traits - keen to get stuck into rural life and help out wherever needed
